GENERAL QUESTIONS

What are SIAL America’s event hours?

Tuesday, March 22 – 10:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Wednesday, March 23 – 10:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Thursday, March 24 – 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Are children allowed?

No one under the age of 16 will be allowed on the exhibit floor. Proof of age will be required. No strollers, baby carriages or baby packs. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Can I take photographs during the show?

To protect our exhibitors and speakers, unauthorized photography or video recording is not allowed on the Expo Floor or in Conference Session rooms at SIAL America without first obtaining permission from the exhibitor or speaker. Violators will be removed from the show.

Is parking available at the Convention Center?

The Las Vegas Convention Center has a parking fee of $10 per day. Daily parking has in-and-out privileges if space is available. Overnight parking is not permitted. A map of the Las Vegas Convention Center campus with parking lot locations can be found here. The closest parking lot to SIAL America 2022 is Silver Lot.

Are wheelchair and/or scooter rentals available at the Convention Center?

Wheelchair and/or scooter rentals are available at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) in the FedEx business center. Located in the South Hall lower lobby and the Central Hall grand lobby. The business centers are open 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, seven days a week; however, hours are subject to change. Please contact the FedEx Office Business Center at 702-943-6780 for additional information.

Will food be available at the show?

Yes, there will be an assortment of food available at the Convention Center from the Convention Center cafeterias.

Is there Wi-Fi at the Convention Center?

Free guest Wi-Fi access is available in all common areas, lobbies and meeting rooms of the Las Vegas Convention Center. Upgraded Wi-Fi can be purchased.

Are hotel discounts being offered and how do I book my hotel?

We’ve negotiated travel discounts and secured a limited number of reduced-rate hotel rooms to make your trip to Las Vegas affordable. Through the travel experts at onPeak, rooms at the group rate are limited and available on a first come, first-served basis. You will be able to book on our website closer to the show.

ATTENDEE FAQs

How much does it cost to attend SIAL America?

Registration information (costs and deadlines) will be added to the ‘Attend’ page as soon as it is available.

How do I register as an attendee?

Registration for SIAL America 2022 will open in mid-November. If you would like to receive an email reminder once registration opens, please sign up here.

If I need to cancel my registration, will I receive a refund?

Yes, you will receive a refund if you cancel by February 25, 2022 – minus a $25 processing fee.

Can I register on-site?

Yes, you can register on-site. However, note that we offer discounted rates if you register before the event stages.

When will I receive my badge?

Registration confirmations will be emailed, and attendee badges picked up at the show site.

How do I get an international Visa letter of Invitation?

During the registration process, if a country outside of the United States is selected, you will have the option of requesting an invitation letter to be emailed to you.

EXHIBITOR FAQs

Will early/late access to the exhibit hall be allowed?

Exhibitors will be permitted access beginning at 7:00 AM on each show day and (1) hour after show close each show day.

What are the move-in and move-out days and times?

Move-In

Contact Show Management should you have any special move-in requests. Exhibitors will be permitted to stay until 10:00 PM to merchandise the booth. There will be no in-and-out access to the building after 8:00 PM.

Can I use my own dolly/hand truck and move my stuff in to my booth?

Exhibitors may hand carry their merchandise from their personally owned vehicle (P.O.V. i.e., car, van, or SUV) in the designated area(s). Hand carry is defined as small items such as cartons or packages that one person can carry. Any mechanical assistance is limited to a small dolly. When exhibitors choose to hand carry material, they may not be permitted access to the loading dock/freight door areas or four-wheeled dolly or cart. Please refer to all the Union Rules & Regulations for Las Vegas.

Where do I ship my booth materials?

Warehouse Address
Freeman will accept materials at the warehouse address beginning Friday, February 18, 2022. Materials arriving after Tuesday, March 15, 2022, will be received at the warehouse with an additional ‘after deadline’ charge.

Where can I find the SIAL America Exhibitor Service Manual?

The service manual contains mandatory forms and information on regulations that you must adhere to at SIAL America. We recommend that you review this information with your trade show coordinator/onsite EAC.

Can I set up my own booth?

Nevada is a right-to-work state. Exhibitors may use full-time company personnel to set-up an exhibit, however they cannot operate heavy machinery or lift equipment. If full-time company personnel are utilized, they are required to carry photo ID as well as company identification, such as an insurance identification card or payroll stub.

Is security provided?

Yes, 24-hour security will be provided by Show Management throughout the entire exhibition, including set-up and tear-down. However, do not leave personal items unattended, such as purses, cameras, cell phones and other valuables.

What insurance coverage do I need and who should be listed as additional insured?

Exhibitors are solely responsible for the care, custody, and control of their own exhibit space and material. Exhibitors should carry insurance for covering loss or damage to their exhibit material. Insurance may be purchased easily from Total Event Insurance.

Is cooking and sampling of products allowed?

Yes, but you must adhere to the Cooking and Sampling Regulations found in the Exhibitor Service Manual. Exhibitors who wish to prepare and offer food samples at their booth must submit the Centerplate Food and Beverage Sampling / On-site Preparation Approval Form and follow all Southern Nevada Health Department guidelines. The brochure is located within the vendor section of the Exhibitor Service Manual. The required equipment may be rented through the Centerplate.

Is electricity provided with my booth?

No, electricity is not provided. All electrical must be ordered through Freeman. Order by February 28, 2022, to receive the best price.

Can I have a hanging sign over my booth?

Pre-approval for the use of hanging signs and graphics must be obtained from show management through the Exhibitor Console. Hanging signs are only permitted in island booths that are 600 square feet or larger.

What is provided with my booth?

Please refer to your exhibit space contract for booth package inclusions. Booth packages include either white fabric or pvc white hard wall back walls and side rails, exhibitor identification sign, and 24-hour security.

How many exhibitor badges do I get for my company?

Each company is allotted between 5 and 30 badges based on net square footage of exhibit space. All personnel accessing on the show floor are required to wear an “EXHIBITOR” badge at all times. These badges should only be used for booth staff, NOT CUSTOMERS.

When will we receive our staff badges?

After you’ve registered your staff, you will receive an email confirmation. Please save this email on your phone or print it and bring it with you to the event as all show badges will ONLY be available for pick-up onsite. Badge pick-up will be located just outside the entrance to Central Halls.

How do I get an international Visa letter of Invitation?

Once your company has paid in full for the exhibit space, you may register your staff. During the registration process, if a country outside of the United States is selected, you will have the option of requesting an invitation letter to be emailed to you.

Have provisions been made for the storage and distribution of product?

Have your freight delivered to the Freeman Advanced Warehouse and receive the following:

  • Freight delivered to your booth before setup begins
  • No check-in or waiting at the marshaling yard
  • Free storage 30 days in advance of the show
Is the show open to the public?

SIAL America is a B2B trade show and is not open to the general public.
